New Board Member Vacancy

Non-Executive Director
Broadway Living
Remunerated position

Develop the largest council-led housing programme in London

About us

Broadway Living is an award-winning local housing company, owned and guaranteed by Ealing Council. Founded in 2014, our vision is to provide high quality affordable homes for communities in Ealing. After securing funding of £99.4m from the Greater London Authority, we are delivering the largest council-led housing development programme in London.

We have a pipeline of around 1,500 homes and we will build on this to provide a long term sustainable programme of affordable homes, to be delivered to our registered provider, or retained by the Council.

The role

This is a new era for local authority home building. We are now looking for an independent Board Member to support us as we continue our transformation into a fully mobilised, socially responsible developer.

You will actively contribute skills and knowledge to the effective governance of Broadway Living, to ensure it has a clear strategic direction and appropriate policies and plans in place to deliver its objectives and operate effectively within the wider Group. You will contribute to effective oversight and direction of Broadway Living by the board, to ensure Broadway Living maximises achievements against its strategic objectives, delivering quality of service and value for money, and ensure it operates in compliance with regulations applicable.

About you

You have experience in a non-executive role, with a comprehensive understanding and experience of mixed tenure housing development. A team player, you will be able to inspire others, see the ‘big picture’ and respect decisions which may not reflect your preferred choice. Broadway Living’s values to care & respect, and be accountable, collaborative, trustworthy and innovative will align with yours.
